Save the Date – Massachusetts Public Health Volunteer Training Day

In recent years, Massachusetts has faced several public health emergencies, including COVID-19, extreme weather emergencies, critical infrastructure failures, cyber security threats, and more. Our communities require a robust public health response system in order to minimize damages and hardships caused by these events. The public health and healthcare response systems are supported by many partners, including volunteers, who donate their time and energy to keep communities better prepared, safe, and healthy.
Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) units in Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Volunteer Program for Public Health (MVP) have volunteers ready to support communities with whatever public health emergencies arise. This training day is intended to enhance the knowledge and skills of MRC unit leaders and MRC and MVP volunteers to help prepare for the challenges faced across communities, to recognize available resources, and continue building public health preparedness and resiliency across the Commonwealth.
The Training Day is free to all attendees, but due to limited capacity, individuals will need to apply to attend. Attendance is also capped at 3 individuals per MRC unit. More information about the application process will be shared in next few weeks.
*Location to be announced in the upcoming weeks. The training day will take place in the Worcester area with available parking.
